Ritwik Ghatak made Ajantrik in 1957, and it was shot in Jharkhand. The film is trying to find out what the central idea of the film was and why Ghatak chose this area as the backdrop of the film. This also looks into the contemporary socio-political situation and relevance of Ajantrik today.
